Plank Style Doors

Built for the Cortese Residence of Durango, Colorado, this design from Spanish cedar utilizes art glass built in our own shop.   The planks are hand-hewn, and all has been distressed.  The door is 2 1/2" thick x 84" high x 44" wide.  Custom, layered casing provides a dramatic effect.

After a few years, the Cortese's sold their home and built a new one.  They liked their previous entry so much that they chose to duplicate it on the new house, with some minor variations in the hardware, glass pattern, and adaptation to the new rough opening size.
