Intarsia doors Intarsia is a technique for sculpting pictures from different woods utilizing color, texture, shape, and thickness. It has also been referred to as "Sculptural Marquetry." This Arizona scene utilizes the natural colors of the woods as well as custom tinted washes to yield its colorful inlay into oak planking. It is the inlay used in our Tucson-TG and RH stock designs. (See example in the "Southwestern" designs.)
